dachb0den . history
Dachb0den labs was started in the second quarter of 2001 in an attempt to provide a hub for the development of new freely distributable technologies in the southern california area. It was originally formed by a small group of people associated with sd2600, suidnet, toorcon, and other southern california hacking related organizations.

The founders decided that there wasn't enough organized hacker research and development in place in southern california, so they obtained a location, located in downtown san diego, and named it dachb0den, which loosely translates to loft in german. As thoughts flowed and ideas were exchanged, it was apparent that dachb0den needed a website to publish information about it's numerous projects and tools.

To help projects become developed, dachb0den provides resources such as physical space, network bandwidth, electronic storage space, and information distribution through the website.
